Competition time celebrating British Flowers week!

Hello all my lovely subcribers, customers, followers and generally all round good eggs

How are we all doing Now Summer is finally upon us?

I am absolutely shattered as only a small part of my flower farm has irrigation so my little legs have been running overtime in this sunny weather trying to keep everything alive. Good news is, it is all still alive and starting to bloom brilliantly.

Amen to the flower gods!

I’m keeping this short and sweet for you though while I have a minute as the rain comes down! Whoop!

I am running a competition to celebrate British Flowers week as I want to raise awareness of how important it is to try and buy British, support local businesses… you know the gist.

ALL my flowers are grown organically with NO pesticides which means this year I have battled with green/white fly, the Lilly beetle, slugs, snails and don’t get me started on the moles that have dug up beds, blackbirds that have dug out seedlings and pigeons eating my brassicas! However… that’s what I am all about, you have to find natural alternatives to

Sort these issues out and to be honest I love the fact I am helping the natural wildlife too.

Five bouquets I will be giving away to some lucky recipients this week and all you need to do is let me know who you think deserves one. You can even nominate yourself if you’ve been having a rough time of it lately. Is there someone close to you that is currently feeling down or has had bad news or do they just light up your life for one reason or another.

Let me know by emailing your story in to me at sally@fieldgoodflowersyorkshire.co.uk and I will read them all and pick five lucky winners. They will be available the first week of July.

The only criteria is if you are more than five miles away from my location DN7 6HB then you or the recipient will have to collect them, otherwise I am happy to deliver.

Good luck!

Sally X
